I've heard a lot about 'Beauty Boxes' but didn't want to commit to a subscription (particularly being a student at the moment). I did however, manage to find a one-off beauty box, created by Look Fantastic. I paid £15 which includes p+p, and promises you 6 beauty products. April's edition included over £45 worth of goodies, so I thought, why not? So, what was included in my beauty box?
(All products here are available to buy on www.lookfantastic.com)
1. Korres Milk Soap
This handy sized soap is useable for both face and body. Although I've tried facial soaps before (Clinique), I was eager to try this on my face - I wanted to see how well it lived up considering I have sensitive skin.
After removing make up, I used a Liz Earle muslin cloth and dampened my face. Then on goes the soap! I have to say, this soap has not given me any adverse reactions on my face and doesn't have that strong horrible soapy scent (which I hate). What's even greater is that this soap is mineral oil and silicone free, so no yucky products are entering your pores. If you like using soaps, then I would definitely recommend this product.
£5.50 for 125g
2. INIKA organic eyeliner in Coco
This eyeliner is so soft and it's an added bonus that its organic. I gave this product a trial on a night out - I usually wear a lot of eyeliner so thought this would be the ultimate test. It didn't smudge ... at all.
The eyeliner comes in a nicely designed box, reiterating the ethos of INIKA... cruelty free, vegan products. If you're a big fan of organic, cruelty free products, you can guarantee that INIKA won't compromise on the quality of their products.
£13.50 (various colours available)
3. TIGI Bed Head manipulator
This product is great if you want to add a bit of texture to your hair. I personally don't tend to use products like this, but thought I would give it a try. I have considerably long hair and found this gave me a lot of volume which was great! Plus it didn't leave a residue which was a bonus. I can see this product being great to use if you have short choppy layers - this product claims to 'do it all'.
Added bonus - this can be used on dry or wet hair.
£13.50 for 50ml
4. CB12 Safe Breath oral care agent
This oral care agent claims to 'give you confidence' for up to 12 hours. The flavour given in this month's box was mild mint. I find that many mouthwashes seem to sting my mouth due to the alcohol in the solution. This however did not, which was great. It provided a minty fresh taste. However, I did find that this left my teeth feeling very dry - I used it straight after brushing my teeth so perhaps this had something to do with it?! I do feel it is a little expensive also.
CB12 contains 0.05% sodium fluoride and helps reduce plaque build up - a great addition to your morning oral hygiene routine.
£14.59 for 250ml
5. FORZA multivitamin for dieters
I wanted to reiterate that these are not weight loss pills. They are to be taken when dieting, to ensure that no vital vitamins are missing (which is easy to do when dieting). These actually couldn't have come at a better time. Although I'm not dieting, I'm on a bit of a health kick at the moment so I'm sure these will come in handy.
The capsule contains calcium, vitamin C, biotin, zinc and six types of B vitamins providing essential nourishment whilst dieting. Also included is a handy little recipe book, given you a bit of inspo for when you're needing ideas for healthy meals.
£7.49 for 30 capsules
6. Balance Me revitalising hand and body wash
I use this bottle for my morning shower - it's a great pick me up after a long night's sleep! The mint in particular is great for a wake up call, and the bergamot, sweet orange and mandarin add to the amazing refreshing smell of this product.
Please leave any comments... what did you think of this month's beauty box? Will you be ordering these products?
